it was 400 metres from the hospital where my daughter was having her appendix out. Bus stop was just outside. close to the esplanade, it far enough away from the main shops for it to be quiet. the staff were fantastic as I didn’t know how long I was going to be there and just kept adding on another night as my daughter stayed longer in hospital due to complications . we also got a late checkout without trouble. the housekeeping were fantastic also. the restaurant was also excellent as was their staff. So friendly and helpful. the beds were very comfortable and the aircon worked well. the shower was also roomy.

Fantastic location within walking distance to the bars and restaurants on the esplanade without being right on top of it. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help us out. Accommodation was comfortable and clean, perfect for an affordable family vacation. The set up of our two bedroom apartment was ideal with the rooms being separated by the two bathrooms and laundry. The Bay Leaf restaurant was wonderful. Staff were friendly and the food delicious.

This is an older property but was clean and offered us all we required for a wonderful 3 weeks. Our few questions about the room were answered and remedied. If you want an ultra modern place with a view this is not for you but for friendly service, large apartment [separate bed room and bathroom], $6 Happy Hour, very near the Esplanade, easy walk into heart of Cairns and near coffee shops I recommend here.

Very clean. Comfy beds. Comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Absolutely loved the breakfast. Can't beat traditional nasi goreng! Better than great value for the price. We only stayed one night for a flight stop over but I could have stayed longer here. Short stroll to city centre.
